Applicants who exceed the minimum score of 60 points will be accepted and their information will be viewable by staff and local employers. Candidates who have submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI) with the highest scores, and who have received the greatest interest from employers will be invited to submit an application to the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program without a job offer.

Candidates, who meet eligibility criteria for either the Skilled Worker or Express Entry Skilled Worker category, will be issued a provincial nomination certificate. Applicants can include this certificate in their application for permanent residency, and send to the federal government.

While their Permanent Residency application is in process, candidates receive dedicated support from Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism staff, and access to specialized services, for instance letters of support for work permit requests.
